MOC: Winter Ice Flowers with vases (and a playable landscape base!)

Lego brick-built flowers made from transparent parts and white stems are arranged in three vases. The vases sit in a snowy landscape that hinges to form a different arrangement. Minifigs and a small white dog amid rabbits are added.

I’m thrilled to share that I’ve submitted my transparent winter flowers MOC to LEGO’s Ideas platform! This means that if you love this idea, you can vote for it to become a real set produced by LEGO someday!

I built this set because I really love LEGO’s Botanical collection, and I wanted to see if I could build interesting flowers of my own.

Lego brick-built flowers made from transparent parts and white stems lie on a pine board. Transparent pieces include light blue snowflakes, dark purple gems, red and orange tooth plates, bright green flaps with fork, light blue and bright green cockpits, and pink umbrellas.

Then I had to build vases for them — including a “flower frog” for arranging that has actual LEGO frogs!

A closeup of a LEGO brick-built transparent base with a white "flower frog" pin inside (built from an actual LEGO frog) for floral arranging. LEGO flowers can be seen next to the vase on the table, including a light blue cockpit flower, a dark purple gem flower, and a light blue snowflake flower.

Then I got totally carried away building a base for the vases, for stability, but also for playable fun. It’s a snowy landscape that you can accessorize and even add minifigs to, to create your own winter scene — complete with some hidden secrets!

Here’s how to vote for it:

  1. Log in (you can create an account first if you don’t already have one — it’s free!)
  2. Click the “Support” button. (There’s no obligation to buy the set, this just tells LEGO that you like it.)
  3. If you think it’s cool, please share it with LEGO- and flower-loving friends! I’d love it if you’d help spread the word.

The top version has transparent purple umbrellas as flowers with matching buds, and the bottom has transparent dark pink umbrella flowers and buds, both with transparent bright green gem centers and clusters of new leaves.

Update: Wow, this Idea has more than 500 votes of support! See the new purple umbrella ice flowers I built to celebrate here, or on the Ideas project under updates! Thank you for all of your support!
