I was thrilled to build the yellow Welsh Poppies in LEGO’s Wildflower Bouquet set. They’re beautiful, and they’re remarkably similar to the ones I grow in my garden! Now I just have to figure out how to build a seedpod and some leaves for them…
Cut flower tip: if you’d like to cut poppies from your garden, try dipping the very bottom of the stem into boiling water for about 5-10 seconds. I find they last much better that way. (I’ve heard a match works too, but I find the water more convenient.) These ones were perfect in a vase my grandmother made.
